In spite of three days of book shopping, I managed to come home with only 12 new books. Well done, me:
On the other hand, I have the following waiting for me on my to-read shelf:
Books about reading and writing:
19th century novels:
Contemporary novels:
Fantasy/sci-fi:
Young adult:
Humor:
Poetry and plays:
Essays, memoirs and letters:
Not forgetting Anais:
Stuff about the real world:
Also, I just ordered nine more books online. But one of them is for Michele, so that's all right.
it's possible you actually have more to be read books than me now. sweet! i feel like i've accomplished something sitting here all day long catching up on the office. also if it makes you feel better i came home with 19 new books. but i've already read 12 of them. and 3 of the others i have previously read, but mary gave them to me because powell's wouldn't buy them. i haven't decided if i actually care about reading them again (it's the first 3 terry brooks shannara books.)
ok i counted. i have 47 books to read and you have 59.
how can you not have read the salmon of doubt yet? it looked so good! mummified pigs, on the other hand, i am leery of.
Heh. I am pretty sure you don't need to read the Shannara books again. I might be wrong though. But I remember getting fed up with that series a few books in, at an age when I never got fed up with a series. At least not enough to quit reading it.
I've read part of the Salmon of Doubt, but not the whole thing. I always feel a little ishy reading (or listening to) something that was released unfinished posthumously. But I could not resist the lure of another Dirk Gently novel, even an unfinished one.
